There are spicy nuances of cinnamon, cedar and clove. The oak is well integrated, adding complexity and depth to the cherry-berry like flavors. The lengthy finish is a complement of the fruit, balanced acidity and very smooth, resolved tannin. This wine is a great expression of Zinfandel from the Mt. Veeder Appellation.
