2001 Napa Valley Cabernet Franc
Vintage and Winemaker's Notes:
Dark ruby with purplish hues describes the color. The nose is forward with aromatic cedar plus spicy hints of cassis, molasses and oak. The fruit is reminiscent of dark cherry, candied fruits and dried cherries. A rich mouth feel, full of vanilla oak, black cherry and plum flavors are enter-twined with dark chocolate. The wine has a pleasant balance, with moderately chalky tannins and bright crisp finish.
