The color is a deep, rich ruby-garnet. With forward spicy sweet oak, there are layers of flavor composed of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, dark plum, dark chocolate and spices such as cinnamon, clove and vanilla.

The winter was very cold and drier than normal, with 60% of normal precipitation. As winter rolled into spring, the temperatures were warmer than normal, resulting in early bud break, bloom and set.
