2019 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

The terroir of our vineyard in the heart of Oakville lends great characteristic complexity
to this wine. The nose opens with notes of black cherry, boysenberry, dusty cedar and
potpourri. The palate is met with unctious notes of espresso, mocha, black pepper,
blackberry and milk chocolate. The tannins are polished and the mouthfeel is vibrant,
combining to create an intensity of power with balance and elegance. It drinks beautifully
now and will cellar well for decades.
Primary Vineyard
Colline Vineyard—Oakville (100%): This estate property is located at the southern end of
the Oakville appellation, on the east side of Hwy 29 and just north of Yountville. The
vineyard soil is gravelly alluvial loam, similar to the To Kalon vineyard on the west side of
the highway. The climate is moderately warm in the afternoons, and strongly affected by
the night and early morning fog, which helps to keep acidity levels in balance. Fruit from
this vineyard is vibrant, intense and full of layers of complexity.
