Opaque, dark ruby in color with reddish edges, rich like a dark chocolate truffle, this wine is a prime example of a spectacular cabernet from Rutherford. The nose has blackberry, blackberry syrup, dark cherry, black plum, juniper berry and fig, with cinnamon, clove, Allspice, vanilla, lilac and a touch of black pepper. With lots of depth and complexity, there is a nuance of new shoe leather and the famous Rutherford Dust or forest floor if you prefer. The palate is bright, floral and flavorful with cherry, lingonberry, plum, cassis, and baking spices with bittersweet cocoa powder on the finish. Enjoy and don’t be shy about laying a few cases away for future enjoyment.

Sycamore Vineyard–Rutherford (60%)
Located west of Hwy. 29 on the famed Rutherford Bench, the 22-acre Sycamore Vineyard is about 1.2 miles south of Bosché and adjacent to the Staglin Family Vineyard, To Kalon and Heitz Bella Oaks. Right up against the Mayacamas Range, this cool-climate vineyard is dry-farmed with stringent biodynamic protocols to create a natural and sustainable ecosystem. Sycamore Vineyard provides mountain fruit berries that are very small, yielding intensely extracted dark, black currant fruit and incredible depth of color and flavor.
Bosché Vineyard–Rutherford (40%)
Located west of Hwy. 29, on the famed Rutherford Bench, The Bosché Vineyard has very deep gravelly soils. A seasonal creek crosses the vineyard, which causes the water table to be high in the spring, and provides water and nutrients for new shoot growth. As veraison approaches, the water table drops, stressing the vines and intensifying the dark velvety fruit flavors.
