Opaque, dark ruby in color with reddish edges, rich like a dark chocolate truffle, this wine is a prime example of a spectacular cabernet from Rutherford. The nose has blackberry, blackberry syrup, dark cherry, black plum, juniper berry and fig, with cinnamon, clove, Allspice, vanilla, lilac and a touch of black pepper. With lots of depth and complexity, there is a nuance of new shoe leather and the famous Rutherford Dust or forest floor if you prefer. The palate is bright, floral and flavorful with cherry, lingonberry, plum, cassis, and baking spices with bittersweet cocoa powder on the finish.
