Sycamore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

We’ve been exclusively sourcing grapes from the Sycamore Vineyard for over 40 years for good reason. Its location next to the Mayacamas Mountains produces fruit that is intense, concentrated and complex. Its full-bodied and well-structured, with a plush yet grounded mouthfeel. The dark fruit is reminiscent of bramble berries, cassis, and lingonberry conserve—lifted by Rutherford’s signature savory, earthy backbone. Fine-grained tannins are present but polished, offering grip without astringency. Layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and dried herbs unfold toward the back palate. The finish is integrated, long and persistent, making it stunning now with a great potential for decades in the cellar.
